@kentphotos @NorthBayNews In 2017 I went to @NorthBayNews & got all papers covering initial days of fire. They’re still displayed on coffee table in Den! People glance through them all the time to remember what happened. The photos were important. So many ppl say “I remember that photo!” – then tear up.

  1. @kentphotos @NorthBayNews I would pay GOOD MONEY for memory books of what happened – the rescues, the firefighters, the evacuations, the shelters, the welcome-backs…

    Sounds morose, I know. But we get through this by remembering what we got through before.

  2. @kentphotos @NorthBayNews Trust me, I know…I didn’t lose house in either fire, but I did help dozens of people with places to stay, food, emotional support, etc – for years afterwards.
    Every time someone lit a fire at in December and they smelled smoke, they called.
    Helps to have memory books.
