In 2017 we had a granny unit. After the fires happened and evacuees were allowed back in/home, we allowed insurance adjusters stay there – the better to help our community. Remember this in the future. All these people who come in to help will need a place to stay. #KincadeFire

  1. OH WOW!
Immediately I got inundated w/DMs: “Why didn’t you rent that out?” and “People needed homes! Why did you let adjusters rent it!” And “Moneygrubber!”
The answer to all those is I did not have that unit to make profit. I had it to house a family friend until she moved away.

  2. People need to stop with the judgement! 😡

Some people don’t want to be landlords.
We moved four months later and no longer had it.
We knew we wouldn’t be there long…and couldn’t just rent it long-term.
